Hiya,

I was wondering if anybody could help me...(Please)

I'm looking for a decent digital camera, which i need by frriday...i'm willing to pay upto £150, but willing to pay a little more if i need to. I haven't got a clue about cameras, well i thought i did until i started reading reviews about them nand realised i don't know much at all.

So please please could somebody help me, i need it for taking the usual pics (family, friends going out etc) aswell as for taking pics of items to sell on here and fleebay (i'm currently taking them on my phone)

I have a little cybershot one (earlier models)...i'd prefer if it was either a sony cybershout an ixus or a mju? or are there better ones?

Kindest Regards....and thank you all in advance :)

Hi there
In the same position myself!
Great website at www.cameras.co.uk which helped me a lot.
I decided on a Fuji Finepix F31fd, cheapest price at Tecno.
Use code ootd5 for an extra 5% off.

Popped into my local Jessops today (they are closing down) and they have half price on a few models. One that caught my eye was a HP M527, reduced by half to just £75. That seems pretty similar to the Fuji to me, so I might well go for that.

It is a bit of a minefield though.
Let me know how you get on!
Richard.

The Fuji f31fd or f20 of f30 are all excellent cameras and should come in at well under your budget. I have the f30 and it is fab. Pictures are great, especially in low light. It'd certainly be fantastic for all the things you need it for, plus a lot more. The battery life is amazing (rechargable). I last charged mine in May and I use it most weeks.

The HP will not be a patch on the Fuji F31.;-)

The newer F40 doesn't have as good a battery life as the older model F31.

Seems to be a backward step by Fuji.

Worth taking a look at this camera :

It will do everything the op needs and more and this is a very good price.

Hope that helps and good luck. :)

And for portability and ease of use under most conditions it betters my Fuji7500 which cost me £300+.
Makes you sick doesn't it, :w00t:

Thanks people,

i think i'm going to go for the Casio EX Z1000...unless anybody wants to advise me otherwise?...but the reviews iv'e read have been quiet good

Just wanted to ask one question, the free delivery option on ebuyer is for upto 5 working days...how is the delivery with them (never ordered) i need the camera by Friday morning so do you reckon it'll get to me or should i pay extra for next day delivery etc?

Regards

Asma

Pay extra for quicker delivery.

Nice camera, however be careful how you handle the LCD Screen, lots of reports of Casio LCD Screens breaking.

Glad you are sorted.

Fuji sensor is in a different league to the Casio - Depends what you want, something small and cute or a camera that will give you staggering results.

The F31FD is the same price range as the Casio....you'd be mad not to.
