Dont buy a whirlpool. The tablet drawer on mine packed up within 6 months. Anything by bosch or siemens are great, but they cost. You need to decide whether to buy 3 cheap ones or one good one for the price.

Built in or free-standing? I bought a Beko one about 9months ago, and I am very pleased with it. Very good price too.

Our bosch is great and over 7 years old now.
I remember a while ago that john lewis offered free extended warranty on dishwashers and washing machines.
Here's Tesco's dishwasher buying guide: http://direct.tesco.com/buyersguide/dishwasher.aspx
Also revoo are good at reviewstoo, and when you find the one you want don't forget to look for any discount vouchers as there will probably be some floating about the internet for currys/comet type places.

Buy an AEG one. We bought the 4040 model 8 years ago together with a washer. cince bought a double oven from AEG and now don't conside anything else - of course price matters but dishwasher has worked out at £35 per year so far and no signs of it packing up- fingers x'd!

We have a neff built in one Its superb.Far better than the peice of rubbish belling that it replaced that just kept popping open the the engineer said the casing was not sealed properly from manufacture so it was always going to be a dud!

Dixons are quite competitive at the moment and have some promotions on
