It's our first time to Florida and the park ticket buying process is a little confusing. We are only going for 10 days so only need 7-8 day park tickets and i'm just really looking for the Disney/Universal combo tickets. All the tickets offered seem to be 14 day tickets. Does anyone know the best places/deals for these tickets? Thanks

If your going for that short of a time it's impossible to use the money saving 7 day tickets for disney and universal.

I normally pay door price as you can get 3 days universal for under $150 each and 4 days disney for about $300 each. which is enough to each of the parks once and gives you time for shopping =)

if you can be bothered to loose half a day you can normally get 3 days universal free or $150 for 3 days disney if you go to a time share(did it once never again it saved us a fortune! but wasted 2/3 of a day)

we go every year it amazing.

You could buy the 14 day tickets and sell the remaining days. Most local stores advertise that they will buy them from you. You will not get the full ticket price but as you will have bought them here at a reduced price it does not matter. It is generally cheaper to buy the tickets before you go.

Look at Orlandoattractions.com. Look at the Magic Your Way tickets for Disney. If you only need a few days you may well find these are better value - you can have them with or without park hopper facility and with or without the water parks. We used them last time we went to Florida and saved about 25% on our Disney tickets purely by only buying exactly what we needed and not for days/facilities that we weren't going to use.

Personally I would say visit each park once and see which you prefer.
I remember going as a kid and out of 4 children and 2 adults Disney failed in comparison to Universal and Seaworld.
The Disney tickets were a waste of money we did a single day and never wanted to go back. We went to Universal and Seaworld about 5 or 6 times after the first visits.
You can get a 5 park pass which includes Universal and Seaworld for ~$300 for 14 days vs Disney being ~$300 for 3 (_;)

Little tip when there. Buy the unlimited refills $10 for all day drinks then in some parks you can get slushys for a $1 if you got the unlimited refills if not then you just get all the free coke, gatoraid from the coke free style stands etc etc etc so worth it. One bottle for two people $5 each for drinks all day and you will need it.

If you are planning on going wallmart from International drive you,ll need to drive or bus it.

Universal studies is walking distant from wet and wild on international drive it you dont have a shuttle etc from your hotel

Thanks for all your replies I'm still weighing it up but there doesn't look to be major savings between the pre book ticket options. . We've tried to change the flights to fly back 4 days later and go for 14days but they want £185 per person (4 of us) "administration fees"!
