Hi,

I purchased a Sumvision SV-1000 for my parents a couple of years ago, the actual player and DivX support is fantastic, but I had a few problems recording things (it seemed to not read the disc when you restarted the player) and more recently the remote seems to of completely broken (no matter what you press, it does some weird function) so I'm possibly looking for a new one.

Ideally I'd like the DivX/recording functions all in one box, to save having a seperate DivX player and DVD recorder.

Cheers!

If you mean a DVD Recorder which can play DivX then we've recently bought this one - if you mean something more complicated then just ignore me! :-D

Many thanks for the replies, the first two seem a bit too extravagant for our needs (parents won't be getting a HDTV any time soon so won't need 1080p/HDMI.

May go for the Asda one thanks, looks pretty much just the job - any idea on how good it's DivX support is though please?

Thanks again

Not sure exactly what you're asking for  but when we play DivX from a disk, there's a full menu of the contents of the disk and when watching, FF function is up to x32 and rewind is x16. Hope this helps.
