Do you use country code when dialing local numbers abroad?

I always put important emergency numbers on my phone before I go on holiday but just wondered if I was doing it right.

Say I am in fuerteventura Spain and the local emergency number is 112 and the international dial code is 0034, do I put in my mobile:-

112

or

0034 112

or 34 112

Thanks

Just dont want to ever get caught out not having the right format just when you need it most.
