Apart from making clothes smell fresh, which I am not fussed about, does it do anything that my washing capsule doesn't already do?

Are you using the gel capsules? if so they can clog up your washing machine if you use them on a wash below 60deg as they can't dissolve properly in the colder water.

Fabric conditioner makes clothes soft, it is not just for making them smell nice. People are using more and more of these tablets and the problem is as the post above said, they do not dissolve as well because they use agents to hold them together, in my eyes its no more convenient than using a scoop in your washing powder box.

I use lenor out of habit as I like the smell, always get comments on how nice our clothes smell , even my sons teacher commented at parents evening lol. Makes bedding softer and smell lovely too.

Often softener will mean things don't need so much ironing, which can't be bad. Life is too short for ironing.

i always make sure i use it for towels as to me that is the items i would like to smell fresh the most. i mean you always see them sniffing and stroking towels on the lenor conditioner adverts don't you? LOL. X)

i have never had a problem with gel capsules which i have used for many years. i tend to get the clog problem with powder and washing tablets so i switched to gel capsules and been fine ever since.

I use both capsules and powder, and use softener in both.
