Evening all. My 12 year old would love a smart watch or a Fitbit but her birthday savings won't stretch to either. She's seen lots of smart watches on an app called wish but the reviews are all very mixed as to whether they will work with her iPhone 5s and some need SIM cards bought. She would be happy with a cheap version of the Fitbit. Does anyone have anything that fits the bill that they could recommend?

Xiaomi MiBand is good, the 1S has a heard monitor and is about £12 or the normal is under £10, we've got three between us. Seems consistently accurate enough. There is a MiBand 2 as well with a screen for about £22 as well but that gets mixed reviews.

Just download the Fitbit app on the iPhone - it's free and just as good! I had two fit bugs (lost them both) so downloaded this app instead and prefer it!

The ones on wish should work with iPhone however they will be a lot more limited than with android as to what you can do with them.

The MiBand is definitely a good choice. I paid £12 for the 1 (I could've paid £18 for the 1S but the battery life is only 10 days as opposed to 30) Same reason I didn't go for the 2.

The 1S definitely does not have a 10 day battery life, this is mine, I wear it 24/7 but only sync every few days, I got 46 days battery last time. My dad syncs his a few times a day and gets 30-35 days.
