hi, we were in the same position. spent a fortune in lanzarote at xmas. euro exchange really made it difficult. risps 1.50 pkt, fudge 1.82 etc
we went camping last year once you get a starter bundle, you will not look back. far better sleep in your own accomodation cleaned by you imo.
well anyway i tried tent, needed to be off the floor so i got trailer tent off ebay ( i am selling that by the way) then, decided on a caravab. you can get second hand for a couple of hundred quid with no damp off ebay
Haven has its own camping dedicated site and all parks are reasonable. they have loads of 1/2 price offers at moment with just 25 pound deposit. oh and it includeds entertainment passes.
now im the type who has to have make up and straightners everyday but i love it. uk campsites web page gives loads of reviews of holiday parks
i think you will find most brits stay home this year, you can do posh camping now
any Q if this appeals let me know
looking at a scrap book at xmas full of memories of lots of places your little one visited is fab
