No they stopped them ages ago, it used to be 50% off but if you switched to EE it went to 40%

The term legacy by its very definition implies that it is no longer available.
Not being condescending or anything, just stating it in case you were unaware of that and thought that it was a marketing name plucked out of the air like 'precept max' to name their contracts.

My T-Mobile contract expired last month and I managed to get a very good 4G SIM-only deal with EE. I don't think they'll renew/extend contracts under the T-Mobile name anymore.

They will try to move you to EE with all kinds of offers, but you can stay on Orange or T if you like.
I've just renewed mine and my wifes and stayed on the same network.

They do their best to move you from T-Mob to EE as its in their best interests and they can make more money that way. Old tariffs are bad value for them especially those that have unlimited data usage as when the tariffs were originally sold the unlimited part actually mean unlimited.

SO for those of us who still have these tariffs they will try to move us and as long as you can do without the latest phone, will buy your own phone or are willing to think of your contract as a 'sim only' then there is no need to change your tariff.

£15 PM for 300 mins, 300 texts, U/L landline calls and U/L data is a steal, even if you do then need to buy your own phone a couple of years down the line.

Your brother has an old friends and family package by the sounds of it. When he upgrades if he moves to ee he will continue to get 40 percent as the discount is already on his account if he stays with t mobile it will drop to 30 percent. Hope that helps

Also forgot to add it's not something that is just given out it's an actual employee discount.
