Nothing wrong with Hermes in my experience, I have used them many times.

I think suggesting a cheap but good postal service is better than not contributing at all.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Hermes trouble with parcels being left in open places unattended etc would never use them again.I found yodel to be good and reasonably priced.

Not knowing what you are sending, but check it is not on a restricted or prohibited list. You don't want to send it and find weren't covered.
