Yes, but I would have to shoot if I told you.
#2
I'm pretty sure posting about it on internet forums is frowned upon...:p
#3
If you had applied and got through any of the stages the first thing they would have told you is not to talk about your application. Clearly unsuitable!!!
#4
Lol, is this a joke? Where is John?

P.S. You have just failed your current test!

In view of the job I do not expect you will get many responses! Members of the Security Services do not advertise their role or their job! Consider what you have done,if successful with your application the world and his wife may be able to identify you!
Cover blown!

have you passed the stage where you have to kill a hamster with your bare hands yet? that can be harrowing

MI5 = security service
MI6 = secret intelligence service

They both exist and are very much in operation today.

The hamster is the easy test, wait till you have to kill a real human being! And yes they really do, it is part of their training, after all they have to kill real people once they go on missions.

local council ?!?

OP
As youll be aware, you are not to disclose details of your application at too to anyone in any context.
the application process gives details of typical day to day field and desk based roles, so not sure why you thought youd get a better response here.
Really not sure this a career option for you to be honest.

Here you go
have a read on their history - youll see where Ian Flemming got his inspiration and experience from
https://www.sis.gov.uk/ Mi6 - aka SIS - Secret intelligence Service deals with overseas based issues
https://www.mi5.gov.uk MI5 - aka The Security Service - deals with domestic based issues

terrorism; domestic and international along with many many other issues are not something any local council get directly involved with , are you really meaning that something you thought was fake "James Bond spy stuff" would in the real world dealt with as a department of the local council ?
perhaps you should go to a council meeting and broaden your understanding of how politics work
oh and op your details have now been flagged as a result of your question and being hotlinked to their site.

Op been a member for 1 hour 41 minutes, just surprised they haven't asked for a Kasabian code yet.
PS. MI6 operatives are usually approached by MI6 recruitment staff and therefore do not go through job applications. Agents are selected on their current job, lifestyle, language ability and strategic placements.

You can apply for the Secret Intelligence Services online. It's all changed nowadays but the confidentiality clause still remains:

You should only discuss your application with your partner or a close family member, as long as they are British. They should also be made aware of the need for discretion.

The website lists all current vacancies

they are already tied in a recruitment agency who handles the outward facing testing and admin, if your dont already know that, its not the company you work for and your not going to get them as a client either.

in the past, and in some cases from certain universities / military regiments it certainly it still happens but as mentioned above you can apply online for nearly all other roles now

MI6 final exam, 3 applicants handed a gun and told to go into the next room and kill the person tied to a chair
1st applicant comes out and says it was my wife in there and i couldn't bring myself to do it
2nd applicant also comes out and says the same
3rd applicant says it was my husband in there, but the gun was loaded with blanks so I beat him to death with the chair
