Hi People i am looking for a Nintendo DS Lite Supercard or something similar for my ds lite, i already have the card for the normal ds but it looks a bit ugly on it. Currently i am in canada and the cheapest 1 i found there is around $60-70 which is around 30 - 35 pounds (sorry i do not have a pound sign, stupid candian keyboards lol), i am looking for 1 that doesnt stick out the end.

Thanks

Thanks for pointing this seller out greenfeld. I have been looking for this kind of product for a while now. I'm now just over 50 quid lighter.

Not at all - movies, MP3s, homebrew, web-browsing, etc. are all part and parcel of what Supercard is used for! Not everybody plays illegal games!

wht is a supercard sd cf etc?????

Sarbjeet, a Supercard is a device you put into the GBA slot of your DS. It takes a memory card (CF - Compact Flash; SD - Secure Digital) and allows you to play games, use a web browser, play movies, etc. A nice piece of hardware, and great if you're too stingy to buy new games and want to download them!
#12
ohh thats really handy bit like a psp but on your ds dats kl thanx greenfield

#14
How do you download them? You can search for DS Roms and will find some illegal downloads if that's your thing; or search for DS homebrew on Google. Simple

Oh, feel free to leave Reputation sarbjeet :)

got my supercard mini sd for £22 delivered from a hong kong seller on ebay.
#16
I am thick as I still have no idea what you do with it!!
#17
Do you understand that you need a memory card to insert into the supercard? In the case of the Lite, Micro SD memory.
#18
Thanks Hajj but i already have one like that which sticks out of the new ds lite so i am really looking for 1 that fits nicely. Has anyone tried the supercard lite yet though because according to a friend it isnt that good can some one tell me what features it has please ie. pda, touch screen menu, how it affects battery life?

Thanks
#19
kk_cheung, thre is a review here: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/supercard-dslite-passcard3-review.php

seems like a good card and defo one to go for if you have a Ds lite.

oh and the supercard lite takes micro SD cards, about £26 for a 1gb card, micro, not mini ;)
#20
Cheung, I've found the Supercard Lite to be excellent, similar battery life to the CF version, but I've no idea what features it has!

'm confused about these things, just a couple of questions...

1) If I buy a supercard lite, I then have to buy a Micro SD Memory card for the supercard. with these items bought do I need to flash my ds lite?

2) Does the supercard lite come in black?

thanks.
#23
i remember having something like this on my advance ds, when you have the stuff on the memory card via usb and you boot the console you get a menu option and you just load whatever it is you want.

If you use a Superkey, you don't need to flash it. It uses a little more battery to run this but your warranty doesn't go up in flames like your DS might if you flash it! I've not risked it.

And, yes, you need a Micro SD card. Check the link I posted back on page one, you can get it all together.

Not that I'm aware of but all you see is the bottom of it - nothing too ugly, cosmetically.

No you do not need to flash your ds if you use a superkey, but you might as well if you are confident because it really isnt that hard to do and the superpass (kit needed to flash the ds) costs less than the superkey. A superkey is the same size as a ds game and fits into slot 1 of the DS and it just basically overwrites the nintendo authentication check but you need to have it in everytime you want to play a home brew game, whilst a Superpass is a card that fits in to the DS slot as well but it is programed with some code to skip the nintendo authentic check permanatly and gets rid of the annoying health warning when you turn your DS on, I hope this helps

Also for all the DS enthusiasts the M3 Movie player lite is coming out around August 22nd which also takes micro SD. I think i might wait for that 1 because i currently have the M3 mini SD version and it seems a little better than the reviews for the supercard but i am still uncertain, what do u guys reckon??

i bought my supercard lite for £35.95 and 1gb micro sd for £23 delivered. flashing costs £10 delivered from cheapmods.net, i got my supercard lite from there too. got 1gb micro sd off ebay.
#28
right.
i got a ds lite and i want to play illegal ds roms.
i don't really want to flash it (or any other potentially permanent damage). i'm guessing this is what a passme card is for?

what do i need to buy to play these roms?
preferably sd card compatible.

just a nice simple guide? cheers.
#29
Arpeggi, you need a Superkey and Supercard (to avoid flashing) and the software to convert the zipped roms (it turns them into two files - the game and the save). www.supercardstore.com has the software you need but other than unzipping the roms, you don't need anything (apart from put them on your SD card!).

For games, try here: http://www.nintendo-ds-roms.com/

If you want to use (full size) SD cards, then the super card will stick out of the GBA slot in the bottom of your DS.

If you want a nice clean fit, you need the SuperCard Lite which uses micro SD cards.

The SuperKey fits in your DS Rom slot and fools the DS into playing DS roms from the GBA slot.

No flashing required, it's purely plug and play.

I can personally vouch for the SuperCardStore, whose prices are competetive, delivery quick and after sales support outstanding.

Hope this helps?

if i understood correctly, there'd be no lasting effects. thats great!

on average how big are NDS roms? and do they work properly? like with save games. any recommended sites?

No lasting effects.

Roms are usually 8, 16, 32 or 64MB.

Yes, the work just like the originals and the cartridge also offers extra functions like "real time saves" along with the normal game saves.

Also PM sent.

This is a greta thread

Been thinking of buying a ds lite and getting the supercard lite and passkey.

All sounds quite technical to get games to play though, patching, is it easy and straight forward?

Yes, it's a doddle. One click with one app.

Sorry to be bumping this, but there's an all-in-one card coming out soon, no need for passkey's and all that mumbo jumbo.

There's no mumbo or jumbo involved in it. The only mildly technical part, is if you decide to flash your DS, with a SuperPass2 for example, but if you use the SuperKey, it's not necessary. Simply slot in, choose the game and play.

I agree. The limited on board memory will be a pain. The advantage of the supercard is that it uses standard SD/mini/micro which means that with large memory capacities you can fit many more games on them. Also, with the price of SDs dropping all the time, why not have several, all fully loaded with games of differing genres?

It may sound silly but how do you transfer the games from PC to the DS Lite do you need to buy some sort of USB adapter?:-(
