U won't be allowed out the airport. It's a minimum 12 hours stay to get out

The airport is massive. Well worth having a look around. They also have secure places to shower, refresh lie down and rest at a cost.

you can wonder around the airport...it's one of the best airports in the world and there's lots of shops to keep u entertained. ...

It's a fantastic airport but the ceilings (in places) are so high that it has no effective aircon... 32c at 2am inside the various terminal buildings is not nice.

if you want to extend your stay free, try a bit of public beach nudity

Once you have sorted yourself out after landing go grab some breakfast (you should get a meal voucher from Emirates) and then have a wander around the shops. It will then be time for your onward flight. :)

You can prebook a lounge if you want (about £35) and some have showers (about £14). They can be a bit hit and miss and very busy at times and can end up being more stressful than not bothering.

From multiple previous experiences, it can take most of that time to get from your arrival plane to the departure plane.

I have a growing hatred of Dubai airport; a million miles of runway and hardstanding, and 2 terminals the size of Bristol Airport's separated by several miles; last time I was there (2015), it took the entire 4 1/2 hours to get from one plane to the next on both the outgoing and return flights.
Whatever you do, dont go through here with small children/babies.

I went to Dubai once, never again, honestly you are missing nothing by staying in the airport.

next time try and get flights with better connections....
