Dublin Hotels/Family Options for a Week

Anyone been to Dublin and recommend a decent family hotel within walking distance of the city centre or a plan that would allow a family with two girls (11 and 16) to enjoy Dublin during the day and retreat in the evenings.

Looking to go early August from Luton and would appreciate any feedback from peeps who may have done something similar. I was looking to hire a car for the week but given that parking might be a problem may just hire on a daily basis as and when needed.

Pool and internet access a bonus within the hotel.

My advice for what it is worth is stay at home or go somewhere outside the Euro zone. Everything in the Republic of Ireland is sooooo expensive right now. Try over a fiver for a pint and over a tenner for soup and a sandwich! I was down in Galway not long ago and it was crazy. I hear from friends that Dublin is even worse.

Hi Im from Ireland & what 'Kevrev' said is true! Rep of Ireland is expensive now!

But I was in Dublin about 6 months ago, & we stayed in this hotel http://www.d4hotels.ie/ballsbridge-inn.html they have 3 hotels so ask them about location! but this one was cheap & very nice to stay in, you can just get the bus right across the road that will take you into the town about a few min's!

Oh and watch out for pick pockets & a shop call 'Brown Thomas' - Chanel boutique 8=)

Hey guys, thanks for the info.

Checked the Ballsbridge Inn option which looks ideal but they can't accomodate 2 or our 7 days. Looked ideal as well.

Repped.

Anyone else?

Thanks.
