Well, I already have approximatly 350+ so I generally have the "greats". Im just looking for worthwhile DVD's at an affordable price that, either i havent seen before, havent seen in a long while, or ones i love that ive yet to buy for my collection. I cant really be specific tbh, sorry

Well i searched through about 500 DVD's on there a little while ago and only came across 6/7 worth buying, even still they werent quite "I MUST BUY THEM NOW" titles. So i just gave up after a while....

Are there any that you two could recommend?

Have a look here, it's the IMDB top 250 movies ever. There are probably a few in there that you have not seen :)

I've just watched Cidade de Dios - very good.
Zatoichi - great if you don't mind subtitles
Oldboy - as above (but one of the best movies I've seen in ages)

Battle Royale (£5.95 @ dvd.co.uk)- Its awesome, I'm a geek for it lol

otherwise a few fun movies of the top of my head...

About a boy - £4.95 dvd.co.uk
Black Christmas (orig) - £5.89 sendit.com
The Crow - £4.89 sendit.com
Fear - £2.95 foxy
Hostage - £4.85 dvd.co.uk
In The Name of the Father - £4.45 foxy
Kiki's delivery service (anime) - £7.67 the hut
Labyrinth - £4.88 selectcheaper
Lost Boys - £5.89 sendit
Misery - £5.49 dvd.co.uk
Secret Window - £4.95 dvd.co.uk (or packaged at 101cd for £8.99 with panic room and enough)
Trains, Planes and Automobiles

They are some of my favs though I tried not to list some of the DVDs I'd expect you to have. If you can give any more info on fav genres etc I'll prob be able to list more since I am a bit of a movie freak

I have Battle Royale (excellent film, the sequal is awful though). The only other appealing ones in your list i already have (Lost Boys etc.). I love horror films (although i already have tons), i could do with some more comedies as i only have approx. 15-20, other than that in open to any film. Its worth mentioning that im not a fan of Jap films, im sorry to say that i found the American versions of The Ring and The Grudge much more entertaining than their Japanese originals (even the American version of the Grudge was poor, although i do like The Ring).

Im basically looking for £0-5 bargain films, where i can easily squander £20 without feeling guilty XD

hmm, I'll have a think and look through my collection then get back to you, if I come up wityh anything.

btw they america have finally gotten film rights to remake battle royale apparently, don't know how true this is, since at one point USA banned the orig, but will be interesting to see. though I like japanese films so usually prefer originals

Oh and im personally 50/50 whether or not the Americans would be able to pull off a remake of such a unique film as Battle Royale. They'll either do something phenomenal or destroy it. My guess is on the latter...
