Hi all

Self explanatory really i'm after the above and wondered if anyone had one they could recommend or had seen any bargains?

Would prefer one with an SD slot although USB is also a possibility but divx is a must also!

Thanks in advance and rep for all helpers!

I got 2 Philips DVP5990/05 when they were on offer, one for my bruv and one for a m8 and even now they are both chuffed with them. Has HDMI 1080p, USB, can enable region free in about 2 mins of menu settings, and is a top notch player - bruv streams straight from his 4gb usb stick and its flawless - also read reports of peeps hooking it up to external hdd and it works brill. Another to consider is the Toshiba SD580EKTB but ive had no experience with that one.

TBH i got the Philips going back months ago now so there may be more updated models on the market? However i can recommend the Philips as they have never let either my bruv or my m8 down on anything they chuck at them. Depends if you want a name brand or a cheaper one fresh out of Hong Kong, which may be just as good but ive had no experience.

Thanks for that. I'll have a look into those ones!

Reading up i think the Philips gets the higher scores and is recognised as one of the best 'chuck anything at it' players out there. I know the price is a little high but im sure most peeps will agree its worth it. There was a deal on here a week or so ago... read up on it and see peoples comments on the player... interesting read on what it can actually do ;-)
