Looking for present for relative who is now unable to get to theatres, let alone London.

She is very keen to see shows such as Les Miserable, Chicago etc. A long shot but does anybody know if these are available on DVD and who might sell them.

Would bring so much pleasure as she is now housebound. Many thanks in anticipation

My daughter is a huge musical theatre fan and has all 3 of the above (and seen the shows as well) and she loves them.Others which are available like Chicago,Evita,Fiddler On The Roof,My Fair Lady,Sound Of Music etc. are the movie versions.Be wary of buying these kind of DVD's of eBay.We bought a copy of Wicked which was supposed to be a US import. It was a dodgy pirate some fool had recorded from under his jacket,it was rubbish ! (Wasn't cheap either !).Just thought I'd mention it.

Hope this helps !:)

Only other things similar to this Ive seen are the Riverdance and Lord Of The Dance DVD's released a couple of years back.

Much appreciated guys. Great selection I nver knew about.

A bit confused by the Les Mis DVD's, the Amazon review seems to state that it is not the full musical but just the concert performances without the story, seems to be so many versions of this I don't know which one would be the best

It is the stage musicals I am after, not the movies.

The link I posted above is the same version my daughter has (2 disc edition). It is the concert but if I remember rightly there were a couple of speeches cut of out from the stage show.I watched it when she first had it (was a couple of years ago) and I never noticed. Its very long so maybe they were removed for that reason ?.There is a version which is a movie (don't think it was a musical either) made in the late 90's,Think Geoffrey Rush was in it.Make sure you don't get that by mistake. My daughter went to see the show in the west end and loved this DVD if that helps.

BUMP

Just ordered few more DVD's from here. Free delivery and a lot cheaper than Amazon (less than half price).
