I want a Cylinder, but even within the cylinder range there is a few different models with varying prices.
In my house I have hard floor downstairs (Tiles + Laminate) and from the stairs up is carpet. Wife has long hair which is commonly found all over our bedroom floor (where she drys and combs it).
Could someone with experience/expertise explain the key differences, or suggest the best model for me?

Tesco Outlet have cylinder models, refurbished, (every refurb I've had from there has been brand new). I like the ball models, don't require filter to be washed.

Just had another look, its the Cinetic models that have no filter, I've got the DC54 animal which is great on hard floors, it also has 2 Turbinehead attachments which are excellent for carpets & picking up hair. Dyson outlet is where I got mine from, more choice than Tesco.

Thanks for the reply and info ellenw.
So I'm still a little confused with the different models at the mo - Regular vs Cinetic vs Ball and then Animal vs Multi Floor, any advice on the main differences between them? Sounds like one advantage of the Cinetic is that there is no filter to clean.
Also with the turbineheads, does hair get caught in them and then require a regular clean? And do the models that come with a turbinehead also have a regular head?

From what I can make out the Animal models come with the turbinehead attachment, hair does get wrapped around it, I just use scissors to cut it out, it cleans carpets really well, you can use it on hard floors as well, mine also came with a tangle-free turbine tool which is great for the car & a hard floor tool which pivots 180° gets in awkward gaps ect (£35 on Dyson site) Does say it comes with a duel mode floor tool but now I'm thinking about it I can't remember if mine did, its probably in the garage somewhere I'll check that out. My friend bought the refurb & it was brand new (£359 at John Lewis) When I had mine you could send it back if you weren't happy with it. There is a number to ring 0800 954 0150 or ebayteam@dyson.co.uk
