Hi.

Anyone with a Dyson V6 might be able to help out here. I have the Dyson V6 Total Clean and then also bought the V6 Absolute (as I wasn't sure which would be the best for me).

One of the differences is the motorised direct drive head. the one on the absolute is supposedly more powerful than the one on the absolute. The two heads have slightly different connectors so will only fit their appropriate model. The actual brushbar inside the head though is removable and seems to fit perfectly into each of the heads. Essentially then, are people being ripped off and having to spend more on the absolute when in fact the only difference is in the brushbar, which you can easily swap over? (one appears to have more bristles on it, which I assume is what gives it the additional 'power'...

I'm sure users on here commented that they have different pets powers like 30w 50w etc the absolute being the higher 50w so I'm guessing it's not just the brush bar. how a brush head can have any power though is beyond my understanding.

You'll be surprised. I have a V6 Animal and the suction isn't actually that great yet because of the well designed pet head it picks up hairs MUCH better than my full size dyson does. I also notice it becomes almost useless if you don't keep onto of cleaning the brushes on the head. I was actually hoping to get a 'Fluffy' head for mine but not sure if it would fit..
Seems a bit silly that they would have different attachment sizes for what is essentially the same thing though. sounds like they don't want you to buy the heads but rather the more expensive model's with those heads included.
