You don't have to do anything, the Auto Unpaid Assistant will sort it out for you but I'd report the buyer by leaving negative feedback.

Annoying isn't it; happened to me a fair few times. Yes, you should report him so he gets a non paying bidder strike. Also, in your settings when you list in future you can block people who have non paying bidder strikes against them. This is what I eventually ended up doing, and touch wood, I've not had any problems with non paying winners since.

I thought sellers couldn't leave negative feedback. and haven't been able to do so for years?

I find ebay a funny old place..

I just sold some Nikon Lenses, a Tokina 11-16mm for £350.00 and a Tamron 90mm for £200 both of my buyers were very low feedback under 5 for the Tokina, and located one in France and the Tokina was in Hungary.

I also sold some lenses to UK people same sorts of value..

anyhow, both of the foreign buyers have received and left positive feedback, I was 99% I was going to be scammed somehow lol, but I thought ill give the GSP a go..

the UK sellers they haven't even bothered leaving feedback yet, and prob wont..

You can still leave bad feedback in the positive comment. I will leave in block caps negative feedback and hopefully it will stand out.

I think they've got it in for me X) A couple of years back I sold an item. Sent an invoice but didn't hear a thing. After 3 weeks and several messages, I reported him as a non-paying bidder. No more than a few minutes later I received payment from him. I refunded him and told him to swivel. He left negative feedback saying 'fraudulent seller. sells good he doesn't have' (I have 400+ positive, never had a neg or even a neutral).

I reported it but they refused to remove it saying it was his opinion. They still refused to remove it when I asked them to look at his other 'feedback left for others' which only contained about 20 negatives, all saying the exact same thing, and all for sellers with flawless feedback.

I despise ebay with a passion.

If u were you I wouldn't leave feedback at all as it shows as another positive feedback rating. The majority of people on eBay don't actually read people's feedback until they have had an issue. I make it a point never to leave feedback to a buyer if it has been a negative experience like yours. Good luck with the issue :|

We all do. I have over £80k worth of sales which is between £10k- £15k in commission to them with paypal. I have 100% poss 3000 feedback over 10 years yet they still stitched me up.
I sold a £250 headphones, the buyer tried telling me they were fake when I knew they werent so I actually got Sennheiser involved. To cut a long story, ebay let the buyer keep the headphones and charge back my £250 to him so I lost both despite following the rules.
Fortunately Sennheiser sent me a replacement set so I got it back another way.
We would all leave ebay in a flash but its still the king of the market place for world wide sales.

I always read feedback , hence the reason why I'd say leave a NON PAYING BIDDER comment despite it showing as a poss otherwise might as well do away with feedback altogether if people dont read it.

It's just incredible. It's almost as if they don't have a single brain cell between them. Either that, or they just don't care about losing a valuable customer like yourself.

I was livid and demanded that they close my account. They managed to make me even more angry by saying they would close it after 3 months inactivity :| I really lost it and tried to get my account closed by using a more nefarious method - I asked him 'well would you close it if I told you to go **** yourself?', thinking surely that would get me an instant ban X) He said 'pardon?' I repeated it for him. He just put the phone down but my account stayed open X)

Well that's just what I think going by how many people I see being ripped off by people who havequite a few bad feedback. I would not buy from someone who has bad comments. I check feedback of who I'm thinking of buying from by filtering bad and neg and read all their bad and neutral feedback. But that would miss any that have left a positive with a bad comment. But from what I see a lot of people don't bother.

Not for a buyer you can't. Only buyers can have a choice on pos neg or neut. when sellers leave feedback it's positive, no choice oO

In my opinion, eBay went down hill the moment the original feedback system was destroyed; removing the ability to leave a buyer negative feedback was ridiculous. The balance of trust from an unbiased open feedback system was eBays strong foundation, when Positive & Negative options were available to both parties.

I think incredible is a better word. When I queried it I was told that the feedback system was designed to allow buyers and sellers to leave an honest appraisal of the transaction. Oh yeah?
If it wasn't so pathetic it would be quite amusing.

They went downhill long before then.

I got screwed over by PayPal with an unauthorised card payment; when I complained they replied "tough".

That was about 10 years ago, and I havent used any service that uses Paypal since; I even ditched Skype.

Sellers haven't been able to leave negative or neutral feedback for buyers for about 4-5 years. Keep up!
