I brought a motherboard which came with a free game 'For Honor" I sold that on ebay and the seller immediately filed a dispute and escalated the claim after he received the code. I've called ubisoft and they have indeed told me the game was activated yesterday at 2.50pm which is one minute before the buyer opened a dispute on paypal. (After he activated the key he wants to get his money back) They are refusing to tell me the email associated due to there customers privacy. Basically he got a free 40 pound game and now I'm out of pocket. Is there anything could do to make this right? Paypal are asking for solid proof and all I can provide screenshots that the code was sent, and that the single use game code has been activated on someone's account, but can't specificly narrow it down to his.
I know paypal/ebay all ways side with the buyer unless I could prove it beyond doubt so if anyone else has experienced this on ebay how did you win the case?
I've rang a paypal operator and although he sounds sympathetic it's crystal clear the he intends to side with the buyer due to basically just being my word against his right now... if items are labeled as no returns etc why are buyers still allowed to get away with this scam and why on earth is Ebay supporting there claims?
