EBAY LEGAL QUESTION!

Hi all,

Hoping you can help - sorry for the essay (LOL)

My Housemate recently acquired a tip-top leather bag from eBay, he paid £55 for it but the seller assured him it would have cost him at least £190 if he was a chump and bought it from an 'authorised' retailer and he was getting a very very good price. He was very happy with it but unfortunately the clasp on the front fell off after just 2 weeks....... :-( ....... :'-(....... Now, he was coping with this and was managing ok until the cleaner came. This is where the all the problems started. You see when he returned home in the evening after the cleaner had been the clasp was no longer there!?!? We looked and looked and it was nowhere to be found. As you can imagine he was very upset. I won't go into the details but think biggest loser USA tears and incredible hulk rage. Now we've all done some digging and some expert analysis and theres only one common denominator in this whole mess - the cleaner. Now we Intergrated her but she wouldn't crack. She's a real tough cookie you see. So - what i want to know is as he bought it from Ebay can i ask the Ebay legal team to help us get justice for my housemate? He's really been troubled by this and its causing all sorts of mad beef with his peeps. As he quite righly says 'clasps don't come from nowhere and are clearly integral to something' (gospel pray hands emoji). Will Ebay help put this crook behind bars before she ruins anyone elses life? We're looking for a solid criminal conviction, we will go to the police but wanted to make sure we are covered legally by Ebay first? We are not unreasonable and need to keep some perspective, no-one's died after all! So we're not looking serious jail time just a few weeks or month.

Can you please advise what our options are here?

Thank you

The Hargywne Street 4

1. Sack the cleaner
2. With money saved from sacking said cleaner, save for a real bag that does not break after 2 weeks.

Did the cleaner fully integrate with Ebay? If not you don't have a case.
You see to fully repair the bag Ebay and the cleaner need to become one, when they do they become Cleanbay (the bonding process itself is a sight to see).
After the initial integration you need to wait at least 48 hours before you request any of the new functions Cleanbay offers.
If during this 48 you try to request any of the new features the bonding process will fail resulting in Ebay consuming the cleaner. Should this happen you will need to find a new cleaner and start the process again.
Once bonding has been fully successful you can now use the new functions to repair the bag as well as virtually punch the original seller.
Please beware the bonding process is permanent so you need to be 100% sure its what you want before you start the process.

more like 'someone stole the door mirror (which was lying on the road) from my corsa. I haven't got any proof it was. Will the vauxhall dealership help me?'

Yeah course i'm for real - losing the same as stealing in my book! This person should be brought to justice for him £55 is loads of money with Christemas coming up! If Ebay leaving us dry can i ask the seller? How ;long are they responsible for the personal safety of teh bag after they sell it?

Aldi Bad? LOL ... look again.

As for £55 is a lot for your mate .... errmmmm he has a cleaner??? AS above sack the cleaner and save the £50 a month you give to her (she will find another job no problems) and then buy another bag.

Then with the spare money once you bought the bag get some counselling :)

Ha ha ha thank you on behalf of us all for cheering up this cold and windy evening.

If you are genuinely serious.....I am sorry for your friends loss, it must be a really hard thing to go through. I mean, realising you're an idiot is never easy
#31
Long Story, but I think all you really mean is "The manbag I bought from ebay fell apart, Can I get it replaced or refunded even though I no longer have the bit that fell off" yes?
#32
The cleaner cleaned away a broken part of a bag and you want a custodial sentence for her and a refund from eBay?

Sounds legit.....
banned#33
I find this shocking and I to would want a prison sentence of at least 2 weeks for this. If Ebay don't do anything then campaign.org may help and get partitions going all over that internet thing and sort this sorry mess out. By the way any chance I to could intergrate the cleaner? Is it fit and is it male or female or even better intergrated as both, any pics would be apreciated.

Guys you're not taking this serious, maybe i shouldn't have been so witty in my writing (sigh). Without the clasp the bag is worth nothing as it's got a massive flap on it! if you had a car and the cleaner lost the steering wheel you would want justice right!? WE PAID HER TO DO THIS. Who is best to help us?

The bag was never worth anything in the first place (sigh)

Your nearest solicitor? :)
#38
Legal action against the cleaner for stealing the clasp? Or legal action against your mate for paying £55 for a bag he could have got from the lucky lucky man?
#39
Firstly call the police, keep calling until they take you seriously. Exaggerate if you must. Ask to speak to the commissioner, don't let them pass the case to some low level superintendent. Then call action fraud, then ebay then paypal then your credit card company.

Initially i was going to say move out, in fact run. Leave your stuff and find a new house, but then I read what you thought about the issue.... I am prepared to pay for the solicitor costs. Your friend/You clearly need help.

I think it's against the cleaner because the troll says something about a car cleaner losing a steering wheel.
