I'm hoping to get a little advice on the following please:
Lately loads of my parcels which I send using Royal Mails' Signed For service are not being tracked properly. In the past few months it seems approximately 2 out 10 parcels which I send still say they are with Royal Mail.
I haven't had any complaints yet and a couple of people who I did contact confirmed that they had received their items, however as I'm sure you can appreciate I cannot ask all my buyers this question.
The item just says under the tracking information that it was posted at such as place and its with them, on its way.
Now this also leads me to another issue, what happens if a buyer claims a item didn't arrive when it did? I know I should be able to claim back the funds by Royal Mail however that is really difficult as they don't make it easy!
Also I am paying for a service which I'm not receiving. Does anyone have any advice and does this happen to you?
I have contacted Royal Mail once about this issue asking them what has happened with some consignments (I gave the tracking details), they said they must have gone missing and to make a claim but how can I claim when I know some have been delivered?
