Hi,
had a contract with directmobile on EE and now it's up so requested a pac code.
Now i am going 12 month sim only with mobilephonedirect also on EE.
Do i just give the pac to mobilephonedirect or what should i do as i will still be with EE?

Many thanks.

Talk to EE and see what they say. As you will still be with EE. mobilesphonedirect is just a third party with whom you will take EE contract through and claim cashbacks only.

Usually you can only port the PAC code from one provider to a different provider (not the same provider). That why I would suggest you talk to EE and decide your next steps.

you need to transfer to a network other than EE then port back into EE on your new sim.

was in same situation with talk mobile.
They told me to take a contract out while my other was still closing ad both accounts are with them they can just flip the numbers around.

I'm rubbish at typing on a phone

Ee will not do it. See the first comment about transferring to another network and then back again

I had the same issue,

I wanted to go from T-mobile to EE and couldn't do it internally. I followed their advice and had to get the PAC code, port to another network (I chose a free Sainsbury's sim) and then request the PAC code from them and port back to EE.

Was a bit of a pain but nothing major. Felt bad for sainsbury's though as they send a card out etc. and get nothing from the deal. I guess it all averages out somewhere though.

Some networks such as o2 will only give a PAC if you've topped up now due to this.
