I bought a r200 for disc printing, only did a handful of discs and didn't like the quality plus couldn't be bothered with all the messing around only for my son to scratch them. Its sitting in the loft now...

As long as you remember to use the best quality photo and cd settings before you print the quality is top notch from the inks I use

just a pointer if u use 3rd party ink and it messes up ur printer or breaks down epson will not fix it as they only allow genuine ink in your printer so ur warranty is void straight away!

Yes but also the thing to remember is that if you use 3 cycles of cheap ink instead of genuine ink, you would have saved up for another printer. i think its a risk worth taking. especially if you pint alot.

I have got through about 4/5 sets of compatible ink with no problems and top notch prints

As with most things you get what you pay for..my advice is to buy your 3rd party ink here...the Think brand comes with a guarantee that should your printer fail then it will be repaired free of charge.
