That dreaded time of the year stealthily approaches!

Mistletoe, mulled wine & magic...

Or

Mayhem, misery & murder?

I fall into the latter category! Hate it, hate it, hate it!

Plus I don't do faith or religions so it's all a bit hypocritical to me to celebrate.

Every year I vow to go away with a couple of like minded mates. Never happens, I get persuaded to stay & join in & I end up wanting to kill everyone!

So this year I'm outta here!

Any suggestions please & possible links/advice would be most excellent!

Ideally we would love to go where Christmas doesn't happen rather than just in another place doing it their way or on the beach etc please.

Uk or abroad considered.

Also funds are restricted as we all on different budgets.

Happy to be home for New Year as that just involves alcohol with friends!

Thought this would be a good post as I can't be the only one that wants this!

Many thanks!

You could try renting a cottage in the middle of nowhere for a few days.

I totally get what you are saying.
It's more about the fake niceties & family fallout etc.
I'm the problem solver/pacifier & too damn nice for my own good!
Wanna break! lol :D

Thought of that one!
Stupid rates in UK anywhere decent as I think it's popular with families to celebrate away from home now.

Still recall our Christmas day walk along the Cocoa Beach Florida and then Christmas lunch at McDonalds :-) Should be some good deals for Lanarote coming up soon. The Lancealot hotel do a great deal for over 50s all-in, walk over the road to the beach. Bike ride into the mountains great stuff.

Pick any two relatives/friends who never contact each other.

Tell your Uncle Billy that you are going to stay at your Auntie Susans this Xmas and tell your Auntie Susan you are going to stay at your Uncle Billys. If anyone else asks what you are doing for Xmas just tell them who you are staying with - making sure you tell them the relative/friend that they can never check out. In extreme circumstances you may need more than 2 relatives/friends you are ghost staying with.
On the day(s) simply stay at home curled up with food/drink/book/music/film/soul mate(s). Sorted!
