I don't think they do discounts, I went last weekend, it's a charity. You do get an annual pass though so you can go as many times as you want for one payment.

is it any good for 8 yr olds and how long should you allow?

We went last year and the three kids loved it, 3,4 and 6, it was a quite day for us but I've heard it can get ridiculously busy during holidays and weekends, as above doubt you will get or find discounts

This link had information on a 10% annual pass discount and 20% off a day ticket (further down the page). You will need to sign up to find out more but hope that helps? https://www.yorkshireattractions.org/special-offers

If it's your first time there, allow all day long. First time I took my two was the longest day of my life, wear some comfy shoes.

Last time I went it was . They had an old railway carriage you could have packed lunches in . If you have inquisitive kids it is fabulous .

How did the three year old find it? I used to go as a kid a long long time ago and loved it, thinking about taking my 3 year old nephew but don't know if he's too young, but he's really observant and generally figures things out so I think he'd get on with it.

She loved it, she can though walk for hours, others may find it difficult
