Looking at multimap

Paris Nord is in the North of Paris (obviously)

Your Hotel is in the South of Paris approx 6-8Km away from station

Eiffel Tower is on the West Side of Paris approx 3Km from both the station and Hotel

Multimap it yourself to see!

You go from Paris Nord to another station called

Gare Saint Lazare

thats like a really main one,it's fairly easy to get around on the Metro from there, the colours etc on the maps are very easy to follow,I find it easier than Tube here.

If you like shopping be sure to go to Printemps

http://departmentstoreparis.printemps.com/services/discount/index.aspx

or usually leaflets scattered all over in hotels etc for discount in there.

Go to Pigalle too.

The station that eurostar arrives at is called Gare du Nord but that isn't really any where near the eiffel tower. For the tower you need to go to the metro station at Trocadero and walk down the steps past the fountains or else get out on the overground section of the metro at M Bir Hakeim which is actually slightly nearer than Trocadero , but without the formal views.
