Personally I would say its a big expense for a 15 month old however even if you got a few months out of it and managed to sell it on, for the few months of peace (so to speak) it may be worth it. I think my first stopped using it at 18 months or so. We used it from birth. Our 2nd (now 7 months) isnt too bothered if its on or not but thats probably because her sister makes up for it.

my friend bought it for her one year old and he didn't like it so she gave it me for my newborn who loves it.
I personally think the sounds are more based for a newborn as the light relates to the womb and the heartbeat sounds. there is a harp music sound which my partner enjoys lol
try something with a projector.
there's a fisher price hippo which plays nature or music sounds and has a star light that shines on your ceiling. my newborn hated it so now my 5 year old uses it and he's asleep in seconds.

Our son is 18 months and still needs to have it on every night and at this age has the bonus that he can turn it on himself. We pair it with a start projector light thing.

These things have a great resell value, so I think it's worth a shot. If it doesn't work, stick it on gumtree, or your local Facebook selling group. Personally, I'd recommend myHummy (http://myhummy.co.uk/) more than Ewan. The sound on Ewan only lasts for 20 mins which is not long enough! MyHummy lasts for 60 mins and also has a sensor that activates the toy when baby starts to wake. It's more expensive, but really worth it, and as I said, if it doesn't work for you, just sell it on!
EDIT: I just noticed they have a sale on, so you can get myHummy for the same price as Ewan!!
