Expedia City Tax

Hello I've just booked a trip away to amsterdam in April through Expedia

And my question is just regarding city tax. I was reading on expedia when booking my holiday that it says "all prices include tax and fees"

And on another page states that "the hotel has notified us that you will pay 5% city tax - we have included all charges provided to us by the property.

So that gives me the impression that when I get to the hotel I won't have to pay that 5% tax, but last time I went to amsterdam I had too... Is that wrong?

And should I refuse to pay it this time I go?

Yes will need to pay the hotel tax
Yes but like why if expedia say the tax has been taken into account in the price?
you cannot get away from the city tax! Maybe you can contact expedia and advise them of the text, but its like Vegas has resort fees, you generally have to pay them unless you can blag it
