Expert advice needed urgently

Hi,
Purchased a Laptop on Friday from PC World, I wanted a dedicated graphics card and system that could handle everyday computing and Sims 3/4. Was advised that this laptop was great and a bargain. http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=J0B97EA&opt=ABU&mastersku=J0B97EA&masteropt=ABU&sel=PCNB&

However seen a deal on here for a HP Envy http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=7528425#!tab=specs

My question please which has better specs etc?

Thank you

The second link does not seem to work but I presume the laptop is a 15-p158sa with AMD A10-5745M APU?
If it is, then the 15-j140na seems to be a more higher spec laptop.

If you are not sure what the numbers matter, a higher "Single Thread Rating" and "CPU Mark" indicates a faster CPU.

HP ENVY 15-j140na Laptop is the better spec (your) machine. Better display, dedicated graphics and in my opinion a better processor.

I don't understand. I think you have things back to front, the second link which says HP Envy links to a cheap Pavillion and you have said you are going to return and get the Envy. I though you already had the Envy?

Sorry for confusion. I have purchased the cheap pavilion 15-p158sa. Was told in PC World that this was a great machine that it had dedicated graphics card etc. However it appears that it doesn't. Seen a deal for the HP Envy 15-j140na look like a better deal. I know nothing about the internals of a computer. I was going to take the pavillion back and purchase the envy instead. I know it doesn't have a optical drive but that doesn't concern me.

Yeah, the Envy is a much better PC. However for that kind of money I am sure you can get even better. Have you tried PC Specialist? They tend to do decent gaming laptops for OK money.
