Stevie, just rang my partner especially for you, hes asking a question. Are they brand new windows for example bare wood and never been painted? Or have they been painted previously or stained previously? Let me know and ill tell him so i can tell you the best stuff xxxx

Missgem, thanks for going to the trouble of asking for me.
The windows have been painted before. Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Hiya Stevie,

Just spoke to him and he said first off you would need to sand it down, once sanded dust it off with a dust brush. Then u will need to undercoat and gloss it. Wait 24 hours after you have undercoated, as it may feel dry, but its best to leave undercoat 24 hours before glossing it.

He said he recommends you use Duluxe Weathershield Undercoat and Gloss. Bit Pricey, but does the best job, and its all he uses, and obviously protects against the weather.

The above is a 2.5 litre tin of undercoat.
