Extra Thin lenses for prescription glasses online?

I am in desperate need of some new glasses.
I am unfortunate enough to need the extra thin lenses...

So instead of being able to buy a pair of glasses for just £15...I have to add over £100 extra for thinner lenses...

Does anyone know whos the best for cheap thinner lenses online?

As Im sick of being charged over £200+ for glasses at specsavers!!

...and before anyone comments that I will get a pair free...actually I dont..as I have to pay for thinner lenses on the "free" pair too....

So my bill is usually £350+ for 2 pairs

Lots of the places online dont state their prices for thinner lenses and they end up being expensive too...

Has anyone had experience of getting some thinner lenses? and £??

Cheers in advance

Kim

PS dont mean to offend anyone by any comments in this request...

You need to learn to bargain yourself a deal.

Play one opticians off on another and see how quickly the price drops (and by how far)

My mother-in-law was amazed at how effective bartering can be, give it a try

I did try this once in specsavers when I asked for my prescription...
The woman was so rude and tutted as she searched for it...
I said its because I need thinner lenses and they are too expensive here and cheaper elsewhere...
She just stated "Its cheaper because they all use cheap rubbish lenses"...
she never offered me a discount or anything...
I like the service for my eye test there but their customer service is ****...
might try again and see what elsewhere might have to offer...thanks for the tip!

I've not ordered from them. I get my exceptionally expensive ones from Specsavers but got a discount because I use their lensmail service, sorry x

il tell you one thing most people dont know- the thin lenses are very very cheap to make

if you go abroad (some 3rd world countries) you can get glasses for about £20 max

including thin lenses, very very high quality frames (designer quality), tons of extra coats e.g. antiglare etc and all the other fancy things you can think off

my freind got his glasses for this price and i was so shocked to see the glass lens- it was like paper thin

but ofcourse we have to pay tons more for everything since we live in europe

I'm not 100% sure if I had thin lenses at the time but the best deal I've ever had on glasses was from Costco, FCUK glasses with lenses for £80 about 5 years ago. I don't live near one now but it might be worth a phone call. I found Tesco very reasonable 3 years ago, however now these ones are passing away I'm thinking about getting them lasered instead.

my son is 17 went to specsavers for eyetest he is entitled to voucher for his glasses but because of the high prescription he has we always get his lenses thinned even though his voucher covers the cost of his glasses we still had to pay £100 to get his lenses as thin as possible can anyone tell me if this is right or should they thin then down to fit properly in the frame anyway ? we never got charged for it at thompsons when we used to go there and they would put in the forms they wanted lens as thin as possible.

Ive got a really bad prescription, minus 7 each eye and have used lots of different suppliers over the years. They are much of a much ness tbh. I got my last 1,74 high index from these:

They also donate a pair to charity for every pair bought to a worthwhile cause.
