Hi guys

There seems to be some confusion regarding the validity period of the £13.99 Sky Store credit existing customers were gifted with recently

The consensus amongst the deal comments was that the voucher needs to be redeemed by 31st Dec but the resulting £13.99 credit will not expire today

I have just spoken to Sky customer services who advised the voucher needs to be redeemed and SPENT by 31st Dec

I asked him to double check but he said they've had lots of calls regarding it today and that is the case

He could be wrong but he advised me to use the credit by today or it will expire

I was waiting for the Rogue One DVD to become available on sky store but didn't want to risk losing the credit so soent it just in case

Just a heads up

That's odd because on the email I received there's no mention of that. The t&cs on my voucher email were as follows;

1. One voucher per household only. 2. Voucher expires 31 December 2016. 3. Vouchers can only be redeemed and spent on the Sky Store website located at skystore.com before expiry date. 4. Using skystore.com requires connected compatible device and software (see skystore.com/help). Register up to 4 devices; a Buy and Keep title can be streamed 2 at a time. Min. required speed for streaming 2Mbps (SD) or 6Mbps (HD). 5. You can watch your purchase on your TV using your Sky box if your Sky Store account is linked to your Sky TV subscription. Accessing Sky Store on your box requires a compatible black Sky+/Sky Q box connected to broadband (min. speed 6 Mbps (HD) or 2Mbps (SD)). Sky TV subscription needed for ongoing access to downloaded copy on your box. See sky.com for more information on how to link Sky Store online account to your box. 6. If your purchase costs over £13.99, the voucher can be used as part payment. You will need to pay the difference via debit or credit card. 7. If your purchase is below £13.99, any remaining credit will remain in the your online wallet for 3 years from date of redemption. 8. Offer will not alter your channel subscription entitlement. 9. You will not be charged for this offer and there will be no impact on your bill. 10. Downloading and streaming count towards any broadband usage cap. 11. Buy & Keep DVD delivery usually within 14 working days from official DVD release date. 12. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with purchases made on a Sky+HD box or a Sky Q box. 13. Voucher code is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative. 14. By redeeming your voucher, you agree to the Sky Store terms and conditions. 15. Promoter is Sky UK Limited (registered number 02906991) of Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex TW7 5QD. 16. Click here for further terms.

I think it was after redeeming it through the email it then said the credit would remain until the end of 2017. I'm sure that's what it said

It's valid for three years.

The braver amongst us will wait to see if it expires but given it states in writing under Condition 3 and they also confirmed it by phone, I'm afraid my nerves got the better of me :D

Can somebody tell me if all customers were given this credit - I have been with Sky for around 4 months and don't recall getting any information about this? Thank you.

The voucher code needed to be redeemed by then which gets the credit on your account, but I'm sure the credit remains for 1 year. It said so after redeeming the code. I'm sure I didn't imagine it (_;)

Ok, I'm on just the variety package, so would possibly qualify for 3 months of boxed sets. My contract is for one year and I am four months into it. If I accept this boxed set offer, would Sky adjust my contract as from today, seeing I will be getting 3 months of this, so that another new one year contract would start from today? Thank you.

No it'll be on you sky box already and will end in 3 months time. Look on you sky box and it'll say about it. Try watching something in box sets to see

No definitely not. Your original 12 month contract will still run and expire as normal

*Actually I'm not sure if people who don't normally have box sets need to click through to the Sky website link and click on the gift or if it's all done automatically

I've just had a look on my Sky account, and I don't seem to be able to find the boxed sets offer for 3 months - they seem to be offering me boxed sets for £6 a month extra?

It was either automatically applied to people's sky boxes or you need to click the 'unwrap your gift' button on their website not sure which is correct
#24
Needs to be redeemed by 31/12 and can be used later on ;)
#25
Still not received the voucher here, I 'unwrapped' the gift well before Christmas, but nothing received since. Hadn't realised it expired tonight (as I hadn't received anything!) so I've just sent a message as Live Chat is engaged and hope they honour it.
