Hi, I was wondering if there are any good deals to either Spain/italy for family of 5 (2 adults and 3 under 5's) from Scotland. Can do self catering but if so could we get private pool or villa type place?
1st Choice airport ABZ then Glasgo then Edinburgh. 1 week 14th or 16th October. Around £1200 top whack

cheers

This place sounds like decent value and gets very good testamonials from guests. Its in a good location for exploring Switzerland and the lakes in Northern Italy. You would require a car though.

I have spent a lot of time in Italy and have also lived there twice in a village on the shores of Lake Como, and that part of Italy is the most stunning in my opinion. George Clooney even lives there, I can see his villa from my terrazza on the other side of the lake.

My place is available for rent but the price is expensive based on location, you can see it here....

You're not the same as the chap who asked an almost identical question in the Sunday Times??

If not, try and get hold of a copy of yesterday's ST Travel supplement as I recall a Scottish family of 5 asking for a holiday with a budget of £1200.

You may want to search homelidays.com with your own specific requirements. Seems like a good site.

Decided to dig further and found this villa (with swimming pool) available in October for £299 per week! I believe there is a charge for electricity per person on a daily basis, but even with that the price should be within your budget. Kids under 3 yrs go free.

Nae problem Keith! Do you ever watch 'My name is Earl'? As Earl Hickey would say..."feel free to give me some good karma."
