Family Photo and Makeover session

Wasn't sure where to put this...

It's my parents' silver wedding anniversary next month and my siblings and I were thinking of paying for us all (including two pet dogs!!) to have a photo session. It's something my parents' have been thinking of doing but never got around to.

We'd like to do one where you get a makeover (or just hair and makeup) first and they help to choose outfits and then take the photos.

We live in Newport area so are looking around Cardiff, Bristol or maybe even a bit further.

Wonder if anyone has done this, can recommend somewhere and give an idea of prices? Thanks

i think it would be better to have the photos done at home, due to dogs being unsettled and hard to take in studios. i have worked with a few photographers before. these makeover places do charge a fortune for prints. most good photographers will come to your home to take pictures are cheaper and better. you could always have a beauty/hair salon do the makeup like a wedding package for you all and then have photographer. prob a lot cheaper and a lot better than those wispy dreamy photos they do. they arent aimed at groups and arent good any that i have seen compared to professional photographers. imho.
thanks- i did think that a studio setting might not be ideal since there's 6 family members 2 friends who will be in some of the pictures and 2 dogs!
