my parents are in their eighties and I have been going through old photos for them and geting recovered and coloured. They have loads of pictures but they sure do like these as they are their own memories. I did a nice one of their wedding day and had it printed to canvas. They seem to enjoy their old memories so work on it...

Take him out somewhere for the day, spending time together is more valuable than anything you can buy, my dad is 71 and we always struggle to get him something, but he'd much rather go out for the day somewhere with all the family, even if it's just for a picnic, infact a "carlsberg" picnic is his favourite pastime (as long as someone else has prepared it of course)!!

I like the idea of the 77 little pressies :-)

My parents are in their 80's and it is difficult to get things at their age, but they love tickets to events or shows that are local to them. Something they wouldn't buy for themselves but have a good time when they get tickets. Its like giving them some new memories for presents and they love it.

Hope that helps.

All dads love whiskey.

Lappy, Digital Camera, Camcorder!!! Bit excessive for fathers day (a day manufactured by Hallmark)?

Whiskey.
