Hi everyone, last nite we had a fire in our back garden, stemming from a disposable barbeque, our little boys trampoline was ablaze and now there is nothing left of it, as well as a melted slide, ride-on car and lots of damage to the decking and some to the windowsill. I was just wondering if anyone can help me find the cheapest price possible for a replacement trampoline (it was just a small one with an enclosure) and also a replacement slide. Thank you!!

Yeah he is gutted, although it could of been so much worse. We were happily watching lost with nice full tummys, when partner smelt burning and we had a knock on the door, it was the neighbour to say about the fire, if it had got to the fences, it would have been terrible.

i'm sorry but i have to say LOL.
The way you described it.

Do you not tip water over your bbq to put it out before you go to bed?

Yeah phoned the firemen, but my partner managed to put it out with the hose before they arrived, although he burnt his hand slightly.

That's a shame...must've been scary. My local Asda had 10ft trampolines with enclosures for about £97 last week. You could also try your local http://www.uk.freecycle.org/ for the other items.

My partner put both disposable barbeques in a bag to throw away, he felt them and they were cold, he then put the bag outside our back door on the decking, near the trampoline, so obviously the barbeques werent out properly. He's really p eed off with hisself cos normally he would have never done anything like that, he just got carried away tidying up the garden.
And yes it was a my first trampoline, it only cost £12.50 in argos before xmas, but they are 4 X that now, and the slide was a toddler sized one.

Yeah phoned the insurance, although its £100 excess and as we are claiming for the decking and window the lady said we could just replace all the toys ourselves rather than paying it, although from what ive seen so far it doesnt look like £100 is gonna cover it!

So do u have to pay £100 excess for each item ur claiming for?? I thought u pay one lot of excess and that covers everything u lost in the fire:?

yeah it is just one lot of excess but the lady said it might be easier if we just replaced the toys ourselves, basically to save them from doing it, then we dont have to pay them anything and get the decking and window repaced free.

But wouldn't you be paying the £100 excess already on the decking and window? Thought that was how it worked so you therefore wouldn't be paying any more excess for getting the toys replaced, you could get a bigger trampoline out of them then and I was going to suggest the Asda £97 one that's already been mentioned.
