I agree with this but also set up to pay full balance by direct debit as you could get stung

We've always used FairFx but got some great rates with a card from revolut.com

Azimo has been offering me good rates so far. you can take a look.

Use Revolut, load up in advance and withdrew petty cash from ATM on your arrival, use the card to pay for everything else you need.

I use Fairfx for cash and Revolut for card.

Virgin Money had the best PrePay card last time I looked, but check with your bank, and find out what fees they charge for overseas withdrawals; sometimes the cheapest option it to just use your debit card to draw a lump sum from the ATM when you arrive.
