Where will i find the cheapest flights for rome
And can anyone recommend somewhere to stay for a week, couple sharing, in the centre on Rome?

Flight - no problem just choose the budget one that suits best,
Hotels - depends on what you want to do. Assuming Colloseo & antiquities are top of list have a look at the hotels around the Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore area, which is also convenient for the coach from the airport or Termini station. Also easy to get a bus from that area to the Vatican and there's a couple of trip operators, if you fancy a day out to Tivoli or whatever, on the piazza itself. I'm not keen myself on the area around the Spanish Steps. Thing is that there's so many hotels that you can easily find one for your needs and budget. Get a rough guide map and then make your choice.
edit: I was looking for the folder with my info for the last time we were there - last year, but failed. Happy to look it out tomorrow if you have any specific enquiries.

Forget the busses around rome get a travel card and go via the metro it is cheap and fast.

make sure that youy bargin hard at the market stalls you can get a good deal. have the money that you are willing to pay in your hand and show them.

Matter of opinion. I think the bus down Via Nazionale is a better route and quicker and takes you through some great areas. If you're stuck out in the sticks, the metro might be useful, depends where you are.
