Maybe someone else can confirm but Marks & Spencer I believe do a good rate of exchange.

I also Confirm. Westgate House do a slightly better rate in Peterborough but M&S are a very close second best.

Trvelex at the airport. Order over internet for best rate but really you will get a better rate overseas.
get what you need for taxi or spending on first 24hrs then exchange once you are there

Try this site. I've used it and found Saga to be the best overall (no postage over £300 i think).

I get mine from my bank (HSBC) as they have had decent rates on the dollars recently of 1.92 and 1.93 so I have took advantage of that as I go away to Las Vegas IN August but gathering dollars early when I get good rates

Agree entirely with Travelex recommendation.

Word of warning though... NEVER just turn up at airport and buy over the counter from the Travelex shop. By booking it in advance online you getter a MUCH better rate.

Have you also looked at "hole in the wall" facilities? On European hols, we carry very little cash, and use Nationwide DEBIT card to draw cash in local currency as we need it. This goes through at close to the banks' commercial rate. BUT some UK banks charge a fee each time - as far as I know Nationwide don't.

Have a fab trip ;-)

Crown Currency Exchange
Hi I have used these before and currently have some more currency on order.
Great rates, if like me your local airport no longer has travelex.
I used to order through travelex and pick it up at the airport, but now i use these.

You should be able to get approx 1.94 us dollars & 2.17 can dollars
It changes a lot on this site but they also do a rate that you can pay a charge on, if your changing enough money it may be worth it.
