Hi, you do need to pay a fee to park there but there are residential streets nearby you can possibly park for free

Did you go recently?

It was about 18 months ago. To be honest we wen't for the beach but we did spend a good hour walking around the trail through the Squirrel "forest" and didn't see any. Although I did hear red squirrels are becoming extinct and the UK are due to sterilize the grey ones so the red ones can thrive ? oO

The squirrels are odd beasts. One minute they are everywhere, the next they are nowhere to be seen.

Last time i went they had a board at the entrance to say how many squirrels had been seen that day, maybe give them a call before you go and ask?

Thought you was going to say something like two days ago so it's not worth going yet :p.

Thanks. Do you mean free to park in side streets? I read ages ago when I was going to go that you can park for free on Victoria Rd but then after googling seems yellow lines have been added.

victoria road is indeed yellow lines and so is the side street on the left but the side street on the right is not yellow lined

Thanks. Do you know the name of this side street with free parking? Do you know if Larkhill Lane is free? There was an article saying only half is yellow line and google maps confirms.
