Anybody have any idea where we can get a free mobile phone. It doesnt matter if we have to pay a top up.

My mums phone is as old as the hills and she cant hear it ringing. She only neds it to make and receive calls.

Carphone Warehouse had them b4 xmas but not now. They do have one for £4.95 (plus £10 top up). She is with Virgin just now. I would like her to be with 3 but theyre phones are expensive. So any network would do her.

She just wants a phone that she can hear ringing loud enough. She does not need pictures, cameras, etc. She cant make a text but she sometimes gets a text (1 a month probably).

SIMPLE EASY TO READ< LOUD ENOUGH RING and thats about all.

Some people say she could upgrade her current phone (siemens C45 - told you it was old) and not need to pay the top up charge.

Thanks for reading and any advice that is out there. We need to try to keep the OAP's contactable, you know for the babysitting etc

The Free mobile phone deal was the first time a pay as you go has EVER been free. Its not likely to happen again any time soon!

I strongly recommend The Nokia 2310 @ £8.95 on Orange or Virgin at Carphone Warehouse, its a lot better than the Motorola F3 @ £4.95.

Hope this helps

I went for a Motorola F3 on Virgin, free when you purchase £10 credit, free postage and £5 quidco. I only ordered this Saturday morning. Not sure how good the phone is though?

doesnt appear to be online... well i cant find it anywhere.

just been to asda, the phone is still there, now i think its a 2310, still not certain though, i was trying to remember my shopping list!

asda runs on the vodafone network, so once the credit is used a vodfone simcard can be popped in if you prefer

Hello Again

Just to let you know that Asda are doing the nokia 2310 for free. Well the phone is free as you have to register then you get 4 x £5 credit every fortnight. They phone and this package is £20 is basically the phone is free as you would to top it up anyway.

THanks for your advice.
