go to the vet - it isn't an expensive treatment and far better than supermarket remedies.

fleas tend to prefer a hairy animal - it's the way they're made.

you can get fumigators which you burn and they kill fleas and eggs in your house as i recall.

only real treatment is a regular vets prescription really, but it's not very expensive.

Why did I read this and think it said "my new kitchen seems to be filled with fleas"? HUH!!?? I must be going mad!! :)

Anyway, when I was younger, we always had lots of cats and I remember my mum using a spray to get rid of any fleas from the carpets. I'm sure you'll find something in the chemist. Good luck!

Try to get registered with pdsa( if you or afriend is in receipt of housing or council tax benefit you will qualify )they will sell them to you at cost, about £10 for three months.

I buy Frontline from Petmeds.co.uk for just over £10 for three applications

I have just bought some frontline x 6 pipettes (for fleas) and 10 drontal tables (for worming) for my two kittens. These two are apparently the best treatments you can get out there, so I spent all afternoon trying to find the best internet deal. It worked out just under 31 quid for both on http://www.vetuk.co.uk. It sounds alot but it works out cheaper if you buy as much as I did. Also Amazon are doing them for pretty cheap too - Hope this helps!

What rubbish. It's around £10 for 3 pipettes on pet meds or vetuk whereas it's very expensive at the vets. You should also get some acclaim for the carpet
