Hi guys

i figured 4k sales would have dropped prices of full hd's but i couldn't find one.

i was looking at the sony kdl43w05c on Amazon but it's being sold by some who wants an email before you buy. That really put me off buying.

any help would be much appreciated. We've gone 2 years without a tv and finally decided to bite the bullet but it seems 400 won't get us what we're after.

regards
Dave

you can get a PHILIPS from Argos. I know it's not SONY but it's above decent. 55 4k philips tv is 460 at Argos. If you really want to spend max £400 then look for a slightly smaller version. I think there is in 49 inches too. Yes,it's an android tv.

if you are desperate for a Sony, have a look on richersounds website ;-)

TV Manufacturers are treating 4K are a premium feature rather than a different market so it's bundled together with other premium features like Android TV rather than having two lines in parallel.

So if you avoid it you're going to have to compromise on other features. The W805C is last years model so it's not as powerful, ditto Philips top FullHD tv the PFS5501 compared with their 4k 6000 series.

If the W80C is the best option for you then Richer Sounds still has some of the 43" model in stock:

I'm saying don't discount the 4K models as the might provide a better Android TV experience at that price.

Thanks for the recommendation guys.
I am now stuck between the phillips 43pus6401 £400 2 year guarantee and the
sony BRAVIA KDL43W805C £450 6 year guarantee

I've compared specs on displayspecs website but am still undecided. Could someone please help me decide between the two. Also, if you think its best to wait till new year please do let me know.

Thanks
Dave

I'd expect the W80C to offer the better picture quality, the 6401 to offer the better android TV experience. Which is more important?
