If you get a 32"-40" tv you should get a 720p LCD. You will not find a plasma with a screen much smaller than 37".

In my opinion it's pointless to get a set with a screen smaller than 40" if you are going for 1080p.
If you want a 1080p plasma, that will be the most expensive but give the nicest results.

I bought a 32" l&g this week from Richer Sounds. £409.00 with a 5 year guarantee. Easy to set up with a great picture. £369 without guarantee.

to be fair as heaverton said you'd be hard pressed to notice the difference between 1080p and 720p on a set of 32" at regular viewing distances

Yeah but already got a set that is 32" and can do 720p so really just looking to upgrade.

Would prefer bigger TV as well as the full HD

I think this is a good deal for a 40inch full HD TV

I'd go to avforums if I were you and read up on LCD and Plasma. There are pluses and minuses to both but the only way to know what 'you' like is to go out and test the sets yourself but making sure the source/material you'll be watching is displayed on the set.

It's great to get opinions on what is and isn't a good set but beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
