Righto, it requires Bluetooth LE support, check this out to see if your Fire is supported:

    https://developer.amazon.com/public/solutions/devices/kindle-fire/specifications/01-device-and-feature-specifications

But it looks like the OS needs to be upgraded if it is supported.

Ours wouldn't connect to the app, put new battlers in furby and it worked straight away. Looks like it's going to be a nightmare using batteries really quick

What about iPad 2 ?? Ours isn't connecting to both iPads or asus and currently have it connected to our iPhone which isn't a long term fix xx

So. Apparently I spent 200 flipping dollars only to find it doesn't work on all tablets. How can they release a product that does not do what is advertised. It is a furby CONNECT FOR PETES SAKE. Hasboro is not open today but they will be getting a piece of my mind. One very frustrated mother of two. Oh and by the way we owns at least 6 of these studied things which I do dearly love.

Ours won't connect with our ipad 2 and its eating battles. Really disappointed its not rechargeable as it's destroying tis life like characteristics and usability. My other daughter got this robot chimp which uses a USB charger and is epic

I know this thread is old. I came across it looking for answers, but stumbled upon my own solution and thought I'd share it, since this search result is in the top 5 on Google. Though this solution my not apply to all, it may help some of you who end up on this thread as well.

I had difficulty connecting a Furby that was connected on the device before, through the Furby Connect app. I had gone through the routine of changing the Furby's batteries, hitting the reset button, messing with his antenna, and even looking up videos on how to repair internal wiring. Before getting out my tools, I looked to reinstall the app, but noticed there was a Bluetooth toggle switch when selecting the app in the systems menu. I toggled it on and tested it right away...he connected as quickly as he had out of the box.

iPads were updated and the app permission to use Bluetooth on the device were turned off for most apps already installed. This included the Furby Connect app. A simple toggle is all it takes.

For all those who cannot connect Furby Connect app by a newer Android phone; i tried various things including resetting, but only helped to connect once Furby via Chrome Dev to the tool FurBLE. After that, the Furby Connect application will connect to the toy.

I don't know why is it, but probably the old application does not communicate correctly by the newer bluetooth. But you only need to connect once through that tool and then the old application will work as well.
