I am thinking of moving towards gaming on a monitor and this caught my eye as the price is great for specs;

I already have this desk;

Any monitor gaming peeps here? How is it like gaming on a monitor?
Also is there something I can get for the floor as I have carpet and a chair with with wheels LOL?

Plastic chair mat will do fine. As for the monitor I would go for 28" over the 24" as the dpi will be too high on the 24".

On a desk that's only 50cm deep? I'd that that was fine.

You're not going to be able to use the variable refresh rate of that monitor as I don't think the Xbox supports it.

I have my pc and ps4 connected to both TV and monitor. And it looks much better on TV, so I strongly recommend you to play on the biggest screen possible. Especially 4K at 24inch is kinda a waste. It will looks better than 1080p yes, but 4K and even 1080 at 24inch will be too small to clearly show off the finer detail, so it will look abit "fuzzy" compare to say a 40" TV

Also from experence, Xbox one will look terrible on a 24inch screen and especially on a 4K Screen due to upscaling. I wont recommend doing it.

With a magnify glass to read the tiny text if OP switches to 4k console/PC gaming. I struggle to read 1080p text and a meter away from my 23.6". No way OP is going to get the full effect of 4K at the same distance. May have to check to see if OP sits crossed legged on table though.
