Gatwick Airport to Birmingham

Hi all,

I'm looking for the cheapest deal to get from gatwick airport to birmingham. I had a look and the cheapest i could was £30 using national express coaches. The date i am looking at is 25th August.

Ideally coach or train would be the best and something direct as the Mrs will be on her own. No flaffing around about changing coaches or trains.

Any help would be nice!

Thanks

£ 30.- seems quite a good price.
you could try checking out megabus as they operate between london and bham and if lucky you could get a ride for £1.-

i know, but if you get a £1.- ride it would still be cheaper overall (ie. < £30.-).
however you still won't be able to beat what bluedave posted so go for that!

Hi tried private message to as I saw some £10 deals, but I'm not sure you got my message and I'd hate you to think I'd not got back in touch.

the link I used after googling railtrack was

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

so sorry for misleading info. They have so many prices at £x, which then go up as people buy them. Most of the prices are in the £40 bracket but there are still some cheaper (£15 seems to b the cheapest now, but that involves 1 change). Anyway I hope you've got sorted - if not get in quick as the cheap rates do go very quickly.

Cheers mate for your Help! I managed to get it sorted. I jsut booked the national express. It cost £30 but was direct to birmingham, no stops and no changes. But more importantly the timings worked really well. The cheaper train tickets mean't my mrs would have to hang around at gatwick for a good few hours. And Gatwick isnt really the most exciting airport.

Thanks Once Again!
