What is counterfeit and why is it wrong:
A counterfeit product is any imitation or fake made with the intent to deceive the consumer into believing it to be genuine.
Our goal is to help our customers to be aware of counterfeit footwear that is being sold to unsuspecting buyers as genuine UGG® Products.

Counterfeiting is illegal. It has a significant impact on the global economy, removing tens of thousands of jobs and costing the economy an estimated $512 Billion of legitimate revenue a year.
Counterfeiting is not a victimless crime. Consumers who believe they are purchasing genuine items are left with inferior items that cannot live up to the consumers expectations. Counterfeiters also hurt manufacturers, retailers, and the economy. Counterfeiters do not pay taxes nor do they provide fair wages or benefits to their employees. They frequently use child labor and have been known to fund terrorism, participate in identity theft, and often fail to deliver goods that were paid for, among other crimes. When you purchase a counterfeit product, you are funding and supporting this criminal activity.
Counterfeiters are not accountable to human rights and environmental regulations such as child labor laws, anti-sweatshop laws, and restricted substances laws. The basic human rights of the workers employed by these counterfeiters are often compromised, as well as the workmanship and quality of the counterfeited product.
What we are doing:
We are dedicated to fighting this problem. UGG® Australia works with worldwide Customs authorities and various law enforcement agencies to spot and stop the shipment of counterfeited goods. UGG® Australia also actively works to takedown any counterfeit websites, auctions, and trade board listings and we work with our various partners to investigate and conduct raids of factories producing counterfeit goods intended to deceive consumers.
How to avoid it:
To ensure you purchase only genuine UGG® Australia products, please remember that they can only be purchased at:
UGG® Australia Flagship stores and our official Web site
Authorized UGG® Australia retailers
Authorized online UGG® Australia retailers
Be cautious of purchasing what are advertised as UGG® products on eBay, and other auction Web sites. Authorized UGG® Australia retailers are not permitted to sell products on eBay trade boards, therefore the UGG® products on auction sites is often counterfeit. The cheap price often reflects the products poor quality, not living up to the UGG® Australia standard. However, many counterfeiters are now charging full retail price to avoid detection from consumers.
Be wary of Web sites advertising UGG® products (other than the Authorized Online Retailers mentioned above). Remember that these sites may be able to obtain product images from the UGG® Australia Web site to advertise their counterfeit merchandise. Be skeptical of any images used on these websites - they may very well be different from the product you will receive.
UGG® Australia genuine products are not offered through individuals (other than those noted above), street vendors, flea markets, unauthorized retail locations, or house parties.
Search engines (such as Google) do not pre-screen Web sites that appear in their search results. Be cautious of Web sites that appear on Google searches for "Ugg" or similar keywords or search terms - only the official UGG® Australia Web site and its authorized retailers' Web sites are trusted online sources for purchasing genuine UGG® products.

Be wary of websites that contain UGG® anywhere in the domain name. If you are viewing UGG® Australia products online anywhere other than uggaustralia.com and the domain name includes "UGG." or any variation of this word, or includes one of our style names in the domain address, e.g. "Cardy," this product is most certainly counterfeit.
If a deal seems too good to be true, question it - it usually is. The only way to ensure you get the quality and durability of genuine UGG® Australia products is to go through one of our Authorized Retailers.
How you can help:
If you think you've spotted or purchased a counterfeit UGG® Australia product, we would greatly appreciate your help in fighting the counterfeiting battle by reporting the incident to our company. Though we'd like to help victims of counterfeiting, we cannot reimburse money used to purchase counterfeit products or to assist with the resolution of disputes, including assistance with PayPal refunds. However, by locating counterfeiters and taking legal action against them, we are doing our part to eliminate future incidents of counterfeiting from occurring.
Please contact UGG® Australia.com by email at [email protected] to alert us to counterfeits
